Up for auction is a very rare 1st edition copy of Hey Jude by The Beatles. On the label is the original LP title 'The Beatles Again'. The title was changed after Apple Records had already produced (in limited numbers) and shipped the initial order with 'The Beatles Again' label before they changed it to the now well-known title of 'Hey Jude'. The original issues are relatively easy to identify by the album cover. The identifying feature is the color of Sir Paul McCartney's pants. The original cover (as seen in the photos) has not been altered to include coloring in Maccas trousers. This LP was released in 1970 and appears to not have been played at all. I have owned it since the mid 70's and it has not been played since I have owned it. It is in absolutely pristine condition...no marks or scratches anywhere! The cover is immaculate and contains the Los Angeles Pressing number SW-385 but the album itself has the East Coast Pressing number SO-385. Not sure why? I've had it so long that there was no value in switching them when it was acquired so I assume this was done by Apple Records to clear out stock. Please feel free to email with any questions or comments or if you would like to see additional photos. As this item is very rare a reserve price has been set.
